Fujitsu Limited
Kawasaki Office, Japan
Agent: WASABI (NOMAL Inc.)
This mural was created for the Kawasaki office of Fujitsu Limited, based on the company’s core values: Trust, Empathy, and Challenge.
Developed as a “vision wall” within the workspace, the piece translates these abstract values into a visual language built entirely from lines. In this work, the act of connecting lines itself becomes a metaphor for trust—an invisible force that only exists through relationships.
The composition is constructed through a dense accumulation of fine monochrome lines, forming both structure and narrative. At its center, the shape of Fuchu Kaido—one of Kawasaki’s main arteries—emerges, grounding the work in its local context. Surrounding it are intricate patterns that resemble road networks seen from above, suggesting movement, connection, and flow.
Embedded within the composition are subtle figurative elements. Motifs such as stacked blocks, handshakes, shared moments, and life events appear along the path, representing the progression of life shaped through trust. These elements are not immediately visible, but gradually revealed through close observation.
Additionally, the placement of six Jizo statues—historically associated with Fuchu Kaido—is reflected within the structure. Rooted in Japanese Buddhist belief, Jizo are said to guide and protect beings across the six realms of existence. Their presence introduces a cultural and spiritual layer to the work, linking contemporary corporate values with deeper historical narratives.
While the mural appears abstract at first glance, it unfolds as a layered system of meaning. Trust, as an invisible concept, is embedded within the countless lines—never fully seen, but always present.
Through this approach, the work transforms the office environment into a space where relationships, values, and local identity intersect.
